My friend uses trello and likes it for daily things
rather than opening a card (Trello) or task (Todoist).
My task lists are in a Trello board, the very first list is named "inbox". Any thought I have that I want to capture goes on that list for processing later, usually when I'm at home the next morning. I put a desktop widget on my android phone that Trello has which is an "add a card" widget, letting me quickly add a thought and get back to whatever I was doing.

I have a Trello board set up with 5 columns: Capture > To-Do > Verified > In Progress > Completed. ... I have the Trello app on my phone too so I can chuck things into Capture when I am walking, driving, at the gym, etc. It's nice being able to throw things in there and then forget about it so you can keep on with your current priorities, but still being confident you will have it all handled without things slipping through the cracks.
