AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

Timeless Vitamin C Serum is widely regarded as a high-quality, stable, and lighter-feeling alternative to premium L-Ascorbic acid formulas. It is frequently recommended by the community for addressing hyperpigmentation and dark circles, with many users praising its pump-bottle packaging for maintaining product potency. While generally well-received, its 20% concentration is noted as being potentially too strong for sensitive skin or the delicate eye area.

Pros

  • Pump bottle packaging helps prevent oxidation and keeps the formula active longer
  • Lighter texture compared to other C E Ferulic-style serums
  • Effective for hyperpigmentation and skin brightening
  • Considered a high-quality 'dupe' for much more expensive professional brands
  • Water-based formula layers well under other products

Cons

  • 20% concentration can be highly irritating for sensitive skin
  • Potential for breakouts if the product migrates or is used improperly
  • Some users report no noticeable results after consistent use
  • Perceived as expensive by some users compared to budget alternatives

Caveats

  • The 20% concentration is often cited as too high for use directly under the eyes
  • Can contribute to skin dryness when used in combination with multiple other active ingredients
  • Users recommend letting the serum dry completely before applying moisturizer to prevent it from spreading to sensitive areas

Best for

  • Users seeking a stable L-Ascorbic acid serum with a pump dispenser
  • Treating hyperpigmentation and dark circles
  • Those looking for a lighter-feeling Vitamin C formula

Avoid if

  • You have very sensitive skin (a 10% concentration may be preferable)
  • You are looking for a product specifically formulated for the eye area
  • Your current routine is already heavy on drying actives

The Timeless Vitamin C is 100% a good choice for pure vitamin c as I've seen it recommended by board certified dermatologists and cosmetic chemists.

That Timeless Vitamin C Serum is excellent. I use the 10% because the higher percentages are too irritating. I would move the L Ascorbic acid vitamin c serum to morning.

For L-Ascorbic if you really want there's the Geek and Gorgeous 15%, prequel vit c, Maelove glowmaker, or the Timeless 20%.

I use Timeless Vitamin C serum in the morning before moisturizer because vitamin c is needed by skin to produce more collagen when stimulated to do that by tretinoin.
