Pros
- Had a Thuma for years. If OP is looking at West Elm prices, just get a Thuma. Very sturdy. No squeaks. No racking. Easily torn down and put together again. Even cheaper alternatives (from reviews I’ve read, not experience) appear t...
- I just bought a thuma a few months ago after embarrassingly googling “best bed for plus size couples.” I did a lot of research but I was still nervous. I love it.
- Thuma is amazing. Started with the bed and nightstands & then bought a bench. Dresser is next. Beautiful, super sturdy & easy to assemble
- We have a Thuma, it’s super sturdy and traditional joinery, no real moving pieces. Not exactly mid century but clean and simple, def recommend it.
- I have a Thuma and it is fantastic. Expensive, but it's a one-time investment for a wonderful bed.
Cons
- I simply don’t have a bonus $2.5k to drop on a Thuma. Moreover that is such a bloated price, the less said, the better.
- I’ve been looking at Thuma but I am worried that im buying a brand and not the quality even though the reviews are looking pretty promising.
- I own the Winkbed Plus. I have it on a strong base too (thuma).

I was inspired by Thuma and their Japanese style joinery making the bed far more sturdy and easy to build and/or transport if needed.
