Pros
- Thrustmaster T300 is a great wheel.
- That's exactly my actual setup, for a beginner set is awesome, sooo better than a G29, good force feedback, sturdy materials, the pedals aren't the best, but you will have a lot of fun even with those.
- I saw that the F1 wheel alone is $150 to $200, and that the T300 is a decent starter setup.
- I currently have a Thrustmaster T300 mounted on a Next Level Racing GTLite Pro, in front of our 49in HD TV (around 10yrs old), running PS4. This has seen a lot of hours! It's been a great setup but I feel like it's limiting the experienc...
- I'd go T300 because of the ecosystem around it. The wheel is removable and you can get other different types of wheel rims for it. Plus there is always used TM stuff on marketplace because the TM wheels are everywhere.
Cons
- With direct drive wheels only getting more affordable thrustmaster is kinda out. Especially a belt drive wheel that's over a decade old
- I got a Thrustmaster T300 as my first wheel for $350, and I’m underwhelmed. It’s not as immersive as I thought it would be. The steering is smooth, but I don’t feel much vibration from the wheel.

I got my first wheel back in 2017, a Thrustmaster T300, of course. That one purchase kicked off an 8-year rabbit hole of upgrades
thrustmaster t300 or spend 100 bucks more and get a direct drive setup like the moza r5 or fanatec csl.
I’d save for a belt driven thrustmaster t300
