Pros
- I joined The Wine Society immediately because of all the love it receives here. Quite happy with my first order so far.
- For me the best thing you could do with that money is join the wine society and stop buying in supermarkets. ... It's a non-profit organization so you know all the prices are fair, and their customer service is excellent.
- Their member services are excellent, and if they don't have Batailley left (which would surprise me) they will probably have something else appropriate.
- In the UK you can buy with The Wine Society, BB&R, L&W and probably others and they will store it for you for an annual fee (TWS is around £10/case).
- TWS is great at facilitating exploration of the wine world. And, yes, it is generally cheaper than anywhere else.

I think it's a fantastic decision to join TWS!
For me the advantage is that the selection is chosen very well and the prices are better than other online retailers. It’s true that the supermarkets have good pricing too but I think the wine society has a more interesting selection than any supermarket.
Personally I’ve never bought something from them for under £12 that didn’t represent an upgrade on what you’d find in a UK supermarket at the same price point.
generally the range is really good and the online reviews on the site about the wines are generally pretty reliable. You'll notice a big step in quality / value for money compared to what you can get at the supermarket.
Buy yourself membership of The Wine Society for £40. This gets you £20 credit and lifetime membership with free delivery on *anything* you buy. It's like Amazon Prime for wine, for life. Being 18, this is literally the best value you can get for it
