Pros

• All for Freedom and for Pleasure - Spacebiff reviews The Old King’s Crown
• Also anyone that says that there is not a high level of strategy to Old Kings Crown is just objectively incorrect.
• Beautiful artwork though, I'd say that's it's one redeeming feature!
• The Broken Meeple gave a 7/10 ("Good") to the solo version of the game and a 6/10 ("Above average") to the 2-3 player version. I've never seen so much praise for a solo version of a game over multiplayer.
• The Old King’s Crown has reminded me of why I fell in love with board games. Such a rich experience every time

Cons

• It’s the type of design that becomes balanced by the players through table talk, bluffing and negotiation and comes from wanting to play a small number of games many times with the same group and it rewards that
• Our playgroup bounced off it super hard, and it was sold online before I had even got home from game night! We found that people were being locked out of entire rounds or having their plans scuppered by enormously unsatisfying "gotcha" m...
• Zee Garcia gave it a 6/10, saying it was too convoluted and some of the actions could be simply done by a dice roll instead.
