Anyway, I sold that tv for parts and ordered myself a new C755!
I use my older c755 (2024 model) on medium dimming and on black it is almost as if the whole tv is off.

Abt a year ago I bought the c755 and the difference was like night and day. The picture is stunning.
That being said, if 98 inch seems perfects still I'd not go with TCL 2023 model. I think their 2025 models were massive hit so I'd stick to it and wait a bit for prices to come down.
Guys, I updated my C755 to version 590 with Android 14, and it was nothing but disappointment. I was confident it would get True HD passthrough, but it didn't. To make matters worse, in bypass mode the TV is now converting True HD to PCM stereo and not to PCM 5.1.
For me i read more things wrong with the C755, like broken updates, features not working and stuff
i read more positif feedback about c755 than c7k.
Eg. few of them have quoted V509 is quite good, but for my C755 model, colors are washed out.
I don't remember my c755 being this bad ever.
