Tatara Masamune

Something like a Henson mild or a Razorock game changer .68 or a Tatara masamune. All 3 have great reviews and something going for them.

I plan to buy a Tatara Masamune. * I like mild razors. It's what works for me. * I like that I can buy parts to a different razor. * I like the look. * I like that it's national. (I know this isn't the case for most on this sub, but Portuguese industry is known to produce high quality products with care and attention to detail)

In the same category, smooth, soft and comfortable is Tatara Masamune, but it is more effective, while maintaining gentleness to the skin.

I’ve owned both, and for me, it’s the Masamune by miles and miles. Masamune is one of the mildest razors but still remarkably efficient, I got a great shave in 2 passes. It has excellent blade clamping and negative blade exposure, so blade feel is low.

The Tatara Masamune falls somwhere in the middle in terms of aggressiveness.
