Pros
- I don’t think any option is as good as Stripe.
- I've been using stripe for a decade and open the website maaaybe once every few months. It's an API tool, their website could take an hour to load and I'd still use them.
- Payments using Stripe? Use Cashier.
- I will look into this, I just looked it up and it seems they have integration with the Danish bookkeeping program that I use, so that could be the winning combo. If I can send an invoice with a payment link via from the Danish bookkeepin...
- Look into Stripe. It's been much easier for me to get payments from overseas clients because I can offer local currency payments or different platform integrations during checkout. You can send invoices as well.
Cons
- Parent context: Stripe will pass L2/L3 but you have to contact their sales team. Reply: Right, but like it says there you just have to turn it on or off, after "reviewing your transactions" to know if you have a lot of business or govern...
- I pushed the app live about a week ago, mostly expecting silence… and this morning I opened Stripe and saw my first real paid users.
- I'm currently battling them and Stripe to get paid for data I collected and is in their possession.
- Parent context: Downloaded the app, registered and want to start using right away. But I noticed two important issues: 1) Stripe only allows for US address and bank information (I live in Canada) 2) Even if I deselect gas compensation, i...
- Stripe is currently unable to support sexually explicit content due to restrictions placed on them by their banking partners, despite card networks generally supporting adult content (with the appropriate registrations).

Doesn't look like you can do it per-transaction.

Stripe is currently unable to support sexually explicit content due to restrictions placed on them by their banking partners, despite card networks generally supporting adult content (with the appropriate registrations).
However, their fees are the same as PayPal, and they have more restrictions on what can use their service compared to PayPal and other offerings.
One of the biggest reason I’ve seen to avoid Stripe is that some clients require everything to be based in their region to be compliant for their security and privacy standards. The other one I’ve seen more recently is to avoid using US based product completely because of the whole tariff war that started in January.
