Spin Clean

Pros

• I would recommend cleaning them before throwing them on. A Spin-Clean would go a long way or you could get them ultrasonic cleaned if you want to get wild.
• The spin clean is nice until the ultrasonic arrives. I use the spin clean as the rinse cycle with the ultrasonic.
• Some of my dirtiest bargain records play like they are brand new again. I'm very glad I went this route instead of paying a few hundred dollars for a larger machine that also makes noise.
• I’ve had my spinclean for several years and I really think it’s a lot of bang for the buck. I know it won’t perform miracles, but I’ve gotten some results that were better than expected. I’ve been happy with it
• If you’re not lazy, then the spin clean is a worthwhile investment. A lot of folks think it’s best suited for used vinyl, but the truth is that lots of new (sealed) vinyl come with an incredible amount of static buildup/dust/debris too

Cons

• I used a spin clean for years and then got an ultrasonic and the difference is night & day.
• Same. Would not go back to the spin-clean
• I would argue the opposite … spin clean has velvet pads, which seemed to me to just push the grim more solidly into the groves.
• Parent context: I find the guide wheels tend to bind up and try to come up out of their holders which is why I find it annoying. Reply: Yeah I did, they still come unseated as I spin a record. Maybe I got a crappy one but not buying anot...
