Soundcore Space One
Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
The Soundcore Space One is widely considered a strong value-oriented choice for noise-canceling headphones, particularly praised for its ANC performance and feature set at a sub-$100 price point. While users appreciate its modern conveniences like auto-pause and multi-device connectivity, the default sound signature is highly polarizing, often described as having bloated bass and recessed vocals that necessitate manual EQ adjustment.
Pros
- Excellent active noise cancellation (ANC) for its price bracket
- Convenient features including auto-pause and a hand-gesture transparency mode
- Fast and reliable multi-device connectivity
- Punchy bass response that appeals to casual listeners
- Includes a solid 18-month warranty
Cons
- Poor out-of-the-box sound profile described by some as 'bloated' or 'muddy'
- Average build quality that may not feel premium
- Potential for discomfort or excessive tightness during long listening sessions
Caveats
- Requires significant EQ tuning via the Soundcore app to achieve a natural sound
- Some users find the audio quality to be a step down from the older Q45 model despite improved ANC
- Opinions on the 'best' EQ settings are highly subjective and frequently debated
Best for
- Budget-conscious travelers and commuters
- Casual home use and chores
- Users who prioritize ANC strength over out-of-the-box audio fidelity
Avoid if
- You want a neutral, high-fidelity sound without needing to use an app
- You are sensitive to high clamping force or tight-fitting headbands
This summary uses balanced time weighting with about a 6-month half-life. The evidence is older (median age ~271 days), which may not reflect recent firmware updates or newer competing models in the fast-changing budget audio market.

Why would you bump the bass and drop the mids if, as you said, the bass was too much and the vocals are far away. That's entirely counter intuitive. You've made an exaggerated V shape that fill in lost mids with bloated bass

Go soundcore space one.
Still better then the Space One and they're my personal pick when it comes to ANC headphones.
I have the Space One’s for casual use, around the house chores, and air travel. I agree it’s pretty good for the price.
So like is Soundcore Space One from ANKER good enough?
It's good that you are happy, but just by eye I can see that this EQ is horrible and has no right being called "best"
I recently acquired the Soundcore Space One and my first impression was that they sounded awful, disgusting. Too much (no-sense) bass, the voices were like inside of soda can just like the instruments. BUT, after a while tuning it by myself and basically testing here and there, I got something pretty similar to “EarPods with steroids”. I don’t know, personally I think they sound way more natural in this EQ, check it out and tell me if this worked for you.

Space One has both: Auto pause when you take them off, and you can cover the right cup with your hand and it lowers the music and turns on transparency mode until you remove your hand.
