Sony Xperia 1 VIII

Pros

• get the s26u if u want a feature rich highly customizable ui, and xperia 1 viii if u want expandable storage and a clean android experience
• i've compared my 1 viii (and 1 vii before) in creator mode to my proart pa32usd, the difference is very minimal
• xperia 1 viii, it doesn't do any of the gen ai bullshit that the chinese phones do
• why not get an xperia 1 viii? its 70mm lens is really good and while it does only have 4 years of major os updates, lineageos is always an option because the bootloader is unlocked
• for photography, definitely go for the xperia 1 viii. it uses the same AF system as the professional alpha series cameras, and the camera system is co developed with sony's camera department. the battery is pretty good as well and the so...

• Don't listen to this guy, speed is no problem on any of the Chinese Ultras and the Xperia is leagues behind in the camera department
• For smartphones though, they're not a leader at all, I'm a bit more hesitant to spend 1500usd on a phone that nobody has / very few people know how to repair / few tutorials etc.
