Pros

  • Out of all fixed-lens cameras I’ve used (including the Q3 and X100VI), this one has the best AF and by a wide margin the best tracking/continuous AF.

Cons

  • Well I do absolutely agree that part sucks with the shutter limitation but its the limitation of pretty much any leaf shutter and the slow readout on the 60mp sensor causes a lot of rolling shutter. ... the RX1R III gets blasted for it....
  • My two biggest gripes with the RX1R III just has to do with the shutter limitations paired with the slow sensor and the price.
  • Its just that Sony played with the fire with the RX1R III and the reception was mixed to negative, I mean they didnt even tell anyone about the release, they probably knew it would not be received well.
  • I don’t hate the RX1Riii, I just hated how Sony priced it. ... The Sony has no business being in 5K range with 2K spec. ... that didn’t get IBIS, alongside a 10 year old lens, oh with that stupid FW50 battery
  • Even with all the known faults I still love this camera and am now planning on 100% ditching my Q2, X100V and GRIII to just run with the RX1r III and I'm still keeping my RX100 VII.

If you want something small, but with a bigger sensor, if it has to be FF... I would maybe think about a SONY RX1R III. Fix lens, but you can crop digitally in camera to get closer. ... But, fucking expensive.

The battery life is disappointing considering the upgrade in size but then the intervals are also an upgrade. In comparison it lasts longer than the original but less than more recent cameras. ... AF is great compared to its direct competitors ... Cons. It does get warm. A flip screen would be useful but it’s not a deal breaker at all for me.

Don’t get the RX1R III, you already have an a6000, see what lenses you have that can carry over, and maybe consider the A7IV, or even A9III. FYI RX1R is NOT interchangeable lenses.
