I shoot with the Sony A7CR. I just purchased it a few months ago after using an A7R iii for several years. The reason I decided to switch was because I wanted a more compact setup for travel, but I also wanted to experiment with video.
The big thing that the A1 has is super good resolution but also up to 30fps (for motorsports like you said you’re considering - a7CR isn’t ideal for that at all).
An A7CR is really what you’re gonna want. Super similar to the RX1Riii and you get to change out your lenses. That’s what I would do for the most direct competition to the RX cam.
