Pros

• Maybe consider the Sony a7 of if ur not set on Sony I can recommend more
• Any a6000 series or a7 would be great to start with, but the older the less capable the AF system, like with every brand.
• I grab the a7 if I just want reassurance in the overall operation of the camera (responsive and reliable AF).
• The newest version of the Sony a7 you can find for the $. Even the MKI is awesome.
• If you want an upgrade that actually feels like an upgrade, get an A7.

Cons

• Sony A7 and A7 II autofocus is really poor, so not great for beginners or anyone who prefers not to use manual focus.
• I fell into the Sony A7 rabbit hole and it’s kinda been a whirlwind.
• Two Sony A7 - one on sticks for wide shot, another handheld for side shot and closeups. ... Horrendous rolling shutter skew on whip pans.
• How’s the video quality compare with the modern mirrorless like the Sony A7 models
