Sony Alpha a1

Pros

• The A1 is the one to go for "minimum 33mp" and tamed rolling shutter issue.
• But it it weren't for that it feels like the original a1 does everything you want, great video, burst, high res enough to work with crop mode for compact birding, compact body for travel.
• Love the size of the a1, but when paired with a lens like the 35-150 you might as well have the Z8's larger grip.
• For reference, my “work” camera is a Sony a1. I’ve used every major brand and, at some point, have owned most of the top-end models from all of them.
• For reference, my “work” camera is a Sony a1. ... Honestly, I wish Sony had used the a1’s 50MP sensor, it’s very fast with almost no rolling shutter effects in photo.

Cons

• I was just asking for advice on purchasing a device with the best quality/price ratio when you are a professional and at the start of your career without having the budget to buy a sony a1
• The a1 was way too expensive, even used, so I decided to go back to my roots and get a z8.
• I wanted the A1 but I couldn't justify spending that much on it for what is now a 4 year old camera.
• I'd also note that with the a1 you would feel Sony's 15fps AF-C burst speed limitation with a Tamron lens
