Pros
- Parent context: Solitude has good beginner options, I don't know what you mean. Reply: I would have no qualms taking a beginner/newer skier to Solitude vs. Brighton.
- If it was me, amd I'm just there to ride, I'd stay at the bottom of the Cottonwood Cyns and ride Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude on Ikon. Doesn't get you to Sundance any faster, but you have much easier access to better snowboarding.
- Solitude/Brighton - good resorts that don't seem to stack up against others in the area. Good for beginners though.
- Brighton, Solitude, PC, or Snowbasin are all good options depending on where you are.
- hit Brighton/Solitude/Snowbird. Brighton is super boarder friendly.
Cons
- Solitude’s terrain is 20% beginner. Saying Solitude is “good for beginners” is like saying Taos is good for beginners. Sure they have greens, every mountain does, but it’s factually incorrect no matter how you try and spin it.
- Solitude has some righteous terrain but kinda boring and pricey staying near the base.
- Brighton/Solitude are fun but the logistics aren’t easy, so less good for a mixed group.

Alta and Bird are definitely better than Brighton and solitude but they are all very good resorts.
If you want to branch out hit Solitude and do Honeycomb canyon and Fantasy Ridge.
