- TBH I would think most people here simply wouldnt recommend a sleep number. Youre basically purchasing an air mattress with a layer of foam on top, and they are quite expensive for what you are getting.
- They also had to have them exchanged because mold developed inside the mattress from the air bladder system though. That top layer of foam is also prone to ripping along where its pushed up by the air chambers as well.
- Sleep Number doesn't advertise CertiPUR at all. I had to call them on the phone and an rep told me it is which means almost nothing, doesn't it?
- I'm seeking a sleep number alternative.

The Sleep Number is a fancy air mattress with polyfoam quilt on top while the Purple grid is fascinating to try in a showroom but can be inadequately supportive and entrapping in real life.
Too many potential issues with sleep number like you mentioned. I have a coworker who use to work for them, and she said she was essentially a call center for customer issues more so than an actual salesperson.
