Pros

  • The m200 and k1 receivers will definitely win out here.
  • If you own v2 and have mixed feelings about it, I expect you'll love v4.
  • Skilhunt M200 V4 has very similar performance and UI. It's a bit smaller, somewhat better build quality, and somewhat more expensive (but still much cheaper than a Zebralight.)
  • For extended use throw, the Skilhunt M200 V4 will throw 200 meters on H1 for four hours.
  • Review: Skilhunt M200 v4 - an outstanding everyday carry flashlight with 18650 battery and magnetic charging

Cons

  • I have the v2 and while it is a very competent light, having to unscrew the tailcap to prevent it from accidentally turning on has relegated it to a bag backup instead of a potential carry.
  • Incremental updates from v3 lead to a (mostly) better light. The SFT-25R throws well and it has good sustained output, but for some reason LVP now doesn't kick in until 2.65-ish volts instead of 2.9 or so of other Skilhunt lights. I do w...
  • Only issue is the M200 has on-board charging is a proprietary charger.

I expected them to be like the M200 V4. In that one I can use either L1 or L2.

Getting rid of the blue bezels is a welcome change.

I do wish that they had used a smooth reflector for the throwy emitter though, and I also still hold out hope that some day the M series will get USB-C charging...

I EDC a Skilhunt M200 v3. It’s a 18650 flashlight with a good beam profile (hot spot with spill). 4500k for hight CRI.
