Skilhunt EC200

If they’re apt at learning mechanical devices, a nicer stretch gift would be the Skilhunt EC200 with 519a in 5000K. Same battery, twice the price, but the UI is a bit more logical.

Parent context: I see that the EC200 is only 4.03” long and 0.93” around in the body. ... Do you know if it feels too small in the hand? Reply: I take an XL glove and have a palm that's about 3.6 in across. Works fine for me and I can just comfortably get 4 fingers on it. It doesn't have a super distinct head flare, so ergonomically almost all of the 4.03" is usable. Pretty low profile in the pocket for a 18650 light too, which is really nice.

I would highly recommend the Skilhunt ec200 with Nichia emitters. I find that either that or their m200 are pretty easy blanket recommendations for noobs who need a light that is good, sturdy, and practical. The EC200 is better for close to medium range work

For example EC200 is IPX8 and 1m drop.

The Skilhunt EC200 (Nichia version) would be a bit better in just about every way except price though.

If you want it a little bit smaller and are willing to sacrifice some sustain, the skilhunt ec200 might be an option. Slightly less premium than Fenix and Acebeam, but still not a cheap light - but is the closest to your lumen wishes my brain could find.

If you firmly prefer USB-C, then you might want to consider Skilhunt EC200

Look at the EC200 (519A 4500K, 18650) or M200 (519A 5000K, 18650) for flashlights and the H150 (519A 5000K, 14500 / AA) or H200 (519A 4500K, 18650). The EC200 has USB C charging and the others use a proprietary magnetic charging.

If USB-C and small(ish) are your top priorities, I think the Skilhunt EC200 is worth a look. Yeah, it's a tube-light and not as thin as you're used to, but flatlights are uncommon and make sacrifices to be flat.
