Sigma 16-300mm

Pros

• Need a lot of reach and hate changing lenses; Sigma 16-300 or the new Tamron 18-300.
• There are a lot of good crop lenses starting to appear for the system now, including a Sigma (and Tamron) 16-300 which are both better than the older Tamron.
• Been looking at the sigma 16-300 as an amateur do-it-all lens for outdoor shooting ( mostly nature and motorsports). Not cheap, but I have heard good things.

Cons

• I used the Sigma 16-300 on the R7 (again, it isn't really suitable for the R8 as it's a crop lens) and I found it a bit soft, but it's certainly versatile.
• If you need All in one kind of a lens then think about Sigma 16-300 kind of superzoom. But note that 100-400 will be sharper and better optically than the sigma.
• Sigma does have the super zoom 16-300 in RF. Have not read any reviews. It is a one lens solution with all the potential for the typical one lens compromises.
• Something like the Sigma 16-300 perhaps?
• Though I did sell it recently because I'd love to get the Sigma 16-300 for traveling.
