Serum

Pros

• everything else was synthesized either with my modular rig or serum/operator/phaseplant.
• it's a very versatile synth and promises free upgrades for life.
• Serum is dope because of how many presets people make for it. Also a ton downloadable through splice
• since everyone are making preset packs for Serum, that's what most people are buying. So if you rely on presets a lot, Serum is probably the better choice.
• And I know good sound designers can achieve this in serum.

Cons

• When you assign an LFO to something, you also dial in the amount of range the LFO modulates between. ... have you ever used a soft synth with assignable modulators, like Serum or Massive?
• I do some experimenting in Vital and Serum (software) already, but I’m missing the hands-on experience of a physical instrument.
• So I bought Serum (v1) years ago purely for the ability to do custom waveforms. It was the first to feature that, but honestly, the sound engine was pretty terrible and I hated using it to the point that I stopped and went back to Massiv...
• No point in buying Serum when now Vital does all the same stuff for free.
