Santa Cruz Tallboy

I absolutely love my Tallboy. It's no goat on the climbs, but can still hold its own on longer days (only about 25-30 miles max for me), and can get rowdy on downhills for only having 120/130 travel.

The Tallboy doesn't pedal like an xc bike or even a downcountry bike like the spur but it's definitely not that bad. I race xc on mine and do huge mountain days.

The Tallboy would be the C frame GX AXS, and looks like a dream bike. I don't know what kind of magic use Santa Cruz but it's marketed just for my kind of use.

I love my Santa Cruz Tallboy, but I want to upgrade the wheels to carbon to give it more pep.

I've ridden a tallboy and it was sweet.

In terms of design INTENTIONS, the Tallboy is the "fun" bike and the Epic Evo is the "business" bike. Please note the word "intentions;" I know many riders (mostly old spandex heads, it should be said) would find the Epic Evo to be more "fun" than the Tallboy, but between the two the Tallboy is definitely closer what is generally meant by the term "trail bike." Tallboy has a flip chip, too, which is neat.

If I didn't have a budget, I'd probably get another 5010 or a Tallboy

I ride Stony all the time. I have ridden it many, many more times on a hardtail and now ride it on my Tallboy which is 120/130. I find the full sus way more fun and think a short/mid travel fs trail bike is the way to go for our local trails.
