The Samsung S90F is a QD-OLED television generally praised for its high brightness, vibrant color reproduction, and a highly responsive smart interface. While it is often considered a top performer for gaming and dark-room viewing, it is frequently criticized for its lack of Dolby Vision support and a tendency for black levels to appear 'raised' or charcoal-colored in bright environments.
Pros
- High peak brightness and vibrant QD-OLED color performance
- Highly responsive smart OS, noted by some to be faster than external streaming sticks
- Excellent picture quality in light-controlled or dark rooms
- Strong performance for gaming use cases
Cons
- Lack of Dolby Vision support
- Raised black levels in bright rooms, which can make blacks look charcoal instead of true black
- Aggressive color processing that some users find overly saturated
- Advertisements integrated into the factory operating system
Caveats
- Panel technology (QD-OLED vs. WOLED) can vary depending on the specific screen size and region
- Some users report the inclusion of a matte display which may affect perceived contrast
- The remote control has received mixed feedback and was replaced by some owners
Best for
- Dark room or dedicated home theater setups
- Gaming-centric users
- Viewers who prefer high-impact, vivid colors over strict accuracy
Avoid if
- You require Dolby Vision for your media collection
- The TV will be used in a very bright room with significant ambient light
- You prefer natural, understated color processing

In HDR, the S90F is much better than the Neo G7 and the S95F is much much better, of course.
S90F by a long shot.
The TV itself is worth it but not at that price. ... I think it pretty steep double the price for the 83 inch.
Buy a s90f 65 inch its 1299$ USD it trades blows with Lg C5 I Personally own it its a gaming tv Quantom Dot OLED
Its bright. I see everything good. Thats why i like the s90f because it the qdot makes everything vibrant
Under 2000$ your best bang for buck would be Samsung S90F 77inch. Why ? Because it has the best picture quality and it has Qdot OLED Technology its better than WOLED. It will make your picture pop more and it gets brighter while keeping the detail because of the technology i own the 65 inch. Its a beautiful display
I was looking at the Samsung s90f. I know it’s a 2025 model but it seems to be really good depending on if I can still find it.
If your going above 1000$ invest in a oled its better or samsung s90f they have better upscaling than tcl
I have a Samsung S90F TV and Q990F soundbar. For the first 2 weeks I didn't realize the soundbar wasn't playing DTS audio. I've happily been using Q-Symphony because it improves the dialogue at low volume due to my low profile TV stand.
If you want OLED I would personally go for the S90F which should be around 1000€ I think.
