Pros

  • Yeah, early season Rusutsu is great, just need to bus over to the isola gondola and heavenly might not be open
  • Rusutsu tree runs are really amazing.
  • Your gonna love rusutsu
  • Half our group wanted more slope angle and slightly more aggressive terrain. The also had a car, so took a day trip there and said it was much better.
  • Rusutsu does free shuttle near the sapporo station. You have to book in advance though to use it.

Cons

  • Had fresh pow every day except the one day in rusutsu
  • I went to Rusutsu for skiing. The food in the resort was the worst I ate in Japan
  • I'd lean towards staying on Honshu, since I think it's too late to book anything for Niseko or Rusutsu without paying an arm and a leg.
  • Rusutsu, is all about lines at the side of the groomers. Mountain is low and super easy groomers, hence 2 days.
  • rusutsu is very quiet. older lifts, some are slow especially compared to niseko. Less runs. Less crowds. More flat but there is some days I’d much rather go to rusutsu ya know ? I was skiing corduroy at 2pm and it was ripping as good if...
