These are easily corrected, of course, but it is still corrections I’d rather be without. The RF weights significantly less though, which might be important to some.

You mean the RF is sharper than EF? I’m having an RF currently, but not much satisfied with the sharpness and thinking to move to an EF L version in budget.
The RF is slightly sharper in the corners wide open, but the difference is pretty minimal there, and vanishes when you stop down. The RF does offer 1.4x magnification vs 1.0x on the EF, so if you are planning to get really close to your subjects the RF is definitely the better option.
The RF has superb IS and on an R5 I can take half second exposures handheld (eg, waterfalls with ND)
