Get a nice ratchet (Gearwrench, Quinn, Icon are nice and pretty cheap)

Quinn and doyle are solid in my experience and very affordable

For upgrade, Quinn, Gearwrench & Tekton are best value today, like Craftsman was decades ago. (e.g. Quinn 428p set $300 sale extremely hard to beat.)

I spend a lil extra for the Quinn stuff at harbor freight. I got lots of Pittsburgh branded stuff, but it does break on occasions.

I love the Quinn sets so far. I only have the 1/4” and 3/8” sets and the tekton 1/2” master set and both are incredible quality.

Just buy Quinn as needed at Harbor Freight.

I've doon a ton of work on my cars with all Pittsburgh and Quinn stuff and it's all felt more than adequate to me and I've never had any issues with it.

To add to the Harbor Freight love, Quinn also does a very good job with their tools and sets. My buddy is a master tech who teaches for CAT, and preaches the US General carts+quinn master set for beginners.
