Quacks

Pros

• Quacks or Harmonies, at least 20 times at this point.
• As someone who kinda drifted away from hobby games, I absolutely get this redesign. Quacks, on the shelf, looked like it had an intimidating level of complexity. This looks like something I can bring home to the family.
• Yup, got the Deluxe Quacks and Orleans. Worth it.
• Awesome board. Love this game, although I’m glad I have the old art.
• A good push your luck game, Quacks is my fav although it’s kind of a bag builder.

Cons

• The name is atrocious too, one of the chief complaints of the game is that people thought it was about ducks. So now they've gone from "Quacks of Quedlinburg" to just "Quacks". Yeah, that'll fix things!
• Parent context: I don't know why they do this. GOA, mission red planet, Quacks... All change to cartoonish, killing the essence of the game. Reply: I’m normally a sucker for cutesy art but new Quacks is NOT it. It’s like… kawaii Wallace...
• Seriously hate it. I have the old version and another mate has the new one. Our game group exclusively plays the old version.
• Wingspan and Quacks usually goes for 2 hours or more, maybe take the others first and then suggest longer games the next time?
• My spicy hot take is that both versions have shitty covers
