Reply: the mesh cap bit on both of these faucets should unscrew. you might need to muscle it if you've never taken them off, they are probably seized up from sediment.
Get the python. The other one has a plastic attachment for the sink instead of a metal one, and it will for sure get stuck on your sink after a while when the plastic threading wears down. Avoid the pain in the ass; get the python.
If you can afford it they work good
