Pros

  • Just got my PX3 as well. Quick things: - out the box it had smooth motion / motion interpolation enabled, which may be the “clinical” thing you are experiencing. Turn that crap off :)
  • My daughter purchased the px3 as part of a cabinet, projector and screen combination. It is the ALR screen which helps as she has bright room. Picture is great with good contrast.
  • The PX3 looks intriguing but would there be enough of an improvement to justify moving from the VAVA?
  • I currently have the PX3 and really like it. It is my first projector which I'm using a Spectra Vantage 120 alr screen. I like a lot about it.
  • Just ordered a PX3 and was also thinking my sort of light grey wall might do the trick. Clearly worth going the extra mile for the screen though.

Cons

  • Px3 will be brighter and has better color, but nexigo has less rbe
  • Now looking at the hook ups review he did say the laser freckle is pretty noticable for the PX3 and PT1
  • Even off it [NexiGo Aurora Pro MKII] has why better black levels than the PX3. If you want to watch with lights on I would get the PX3.
  • The noise is really he only complaint I have. Its near perfect as far as USTs go.
  • Image quality is definitely a lot worse but you do get used to it. ... PX3 is the better overall projector but it does make a lot of noise, more so than the Nexigo. And indeed dark scenes aren’t as good, but neither are great compares to...

I am in the middle of testing both and narrowing down the the px3 with a 150 inch ALR. ... The bigger image is definitely more immersive inspite being weaker than the OLED.
