Absolutely you can run Linux on it. Puppy or Alpine is the route I’d try first were it me.

Arch btw (just use tiny core or puppy Linux)
Puppy Linux is somewhere between antiX and spirit OS, but the community has produced literally tens of spins. It's just confusing.
Hmmm maybe look into Puppy Linux or Sparky?
