Propain Spindrift

Pros

• I can also vouch for the Spindrift’s climbing prowess. It climbs better than most 160mm bikes I’ve owned.
• I've done 5,000'+ vertical days on the spindrift, it climbs remarkably well for any bike.
• OP, I would definitely get the spindrift. Pedaling efficiency will be minimal between the two
• Propain fixed that on the V5, which has 63,5°. Other than that there were only minor geometry changes and some improved details like cable routing afaik.
• I'd recommend a freeride bike (with 180 rear travel) that has rear suspension adjustability. The spindrift can take a single or dual crown fork, so you got some adjustability there.

Cons

• Riding lifts and hitting 50s? Spindrift would be sick. Don’t think I’d wana race enduros on it tho.
• I can't imagine climbing with something like a Spindrift. IMO that's a park-only bike.
• I have the v4 and I would go for the new one because it has slightly more dropper insertion depth. I only have a 185mm dropper, the seat tube is the most annoying part of the bike.
• I have a propain spindrift, XL frame, with raceface sixc 820mm/20mm rise handlebar.
