  • I have had the Plank Luxe for over 3 years now. It is definitely firm, but not hard. The surface keeps you and remains very flat. ... I am not quite sure I could get my wife to give up the Plank Luxe though, she absolutely loves it.
  • I have the plank luxe and sleep on the firm side for 3 years now. ... It is a great choice if you are someone who likes a firm mattress.
  • The Bear E Firm is like a 7.5/10 perhaps close to an 8/10 feel, where my plank luxe is more like a 9-9.5/10
  • Not quite as firm as my plank luxe, but a great mattress to sleep on.

Cons

  • Even though I sleep on a Plank Luxe, I like their helix plus, because it does not have zoning
  • We normally sleep on the Plank Luxe, which has the same 13.5 gauge support system.
  • It's crap!! Any box mattress is crap!! No foam encasement POS

As does the Plank Luxe, Helix Plus, Leesa Plus, all of these use their 13.5 gauge springs. What will vary is the comfort layers and how they are constructed and layered within each of the respective mattresses The Plank Luxe is the firmest, but can be flipped to a very slightly less firm side.

I guess if you want just a bit of give for your hip/shoulder...then lux. 8 don't own one but have two friends that do. They wanted a very firm feel.

Some of the better choices would be the Plank Luxe, Titan Series, the Titan Plus Elite for side and back sleepers, Helix Plus and Plus Elite. Nolah Comfort Pluse, and Bear Elite Hybrid Firm.

I sleep on a Plank Luxe. Whenever we go away, whether it's a five-star hotel or not, we always end up sore until we get back home. The Plank Luxe brings us right back to normal.
