- I moved from a reverb G2 to a crystal light. Image wise, it is a big improvement, in all aspects.
- You can get a Pimax Crystal Lite for $758 with the discount and it will be better than a Quest 2 and the Quest 3 unless you need wireless.
- Pimax Crystal Light: Great that they offer a trial period, and the quality seems good. Bit bulky but it’s for sim racing so not too bothered.
Cons
- The pcl was an all around nightmare for me due to lens issues and comfort.
- Pimax crystal light is prob the one for that range. It’s a gamble if your headset will work out the box and how long before it craps out though.
- For a bit more expensive you can get a Pimax crystal light. Better clarity but worse comfort and sweet spot. Personally think it’s not worth the more expensive price when it’s more of a sidegrade.
- The Q3 doesn't have as good resolution or frame rate but for a long time, I had massive buyer's remorse getting the PCL over the Q3. After a bunch of mods and faffing about, I'm happy with it now but you need a very high spec PC/video ca...
- Before Q3 I had Q2 and I thought my next headset will be Pimax Crystal Light, but I read about it a lot and I wasn't happy with reviews and decided it's not worth the money.

if you are just focused on sim racing then the crystal light is a perfect fit... the picture is amazing for sim racing. ... I highly recommend buying different face and head straps in order to achieve maximum comfort on it because the gear that comes right out of the box isnt something I would call comfortable.
I own both and the PCL blows the Q3 away for simracing. Compression is especially a dealbreaker for me... The Pimax software is actually great. I also had no issue with quality control... I think the PCL is a tried and tested product at this point in time.

The Q3 doesn't have as good resolution or frame rate but for a long time, I had massive buyer's remorse getting the PCL over the Q3. After a bunch of mods and faffing about, I'm happy with it now but you need a very high spec PC/video card to run it and it needs several mods for it to even feel right, plus has issues with tracking out of the box. Yeah, the PCL is amazing but I don't think it is worth the money, especially when it lacks so much functionality compared to the Q3.
Pimax Crystal Light or Somnium VR1, depending on your budget. ... I wouldn’t consider anything else for sim racing right now.
