PDF is a really great standard, and that's what I'm using, but I'm also making sure I have plenty of devices that can read this format that will last long enough in the event the format becomes obsolete and newer computers can't read them.
My system is mainly focused on being able to easily write math notes, I use latex-suite plugin, auto attachment arrangement, excalidraw and pdf++ to write math easily
