Pros
- My favorites in terms of art and graphic design are Oath, John Company, Parks 2nd Edition, Quacks, Lord of the Rings Duel, Moonrakers, Magical Athlete, Nine Tiles Panic, and The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31.
- My current favorites are Root, Agricola, Troyes, Parks, Startups, Pokémon Splendor, Chinatown, Dune Imperium: Uprising, and Western Legends.
- PARKS by Keymaster Games is one of my favourite games in our collection! ... one thing I really appreciate about PARKS is how well the packaging/inserts work, and how compact it packs down.
- Parks is pretty up there for its high quality and well designed inserts.
- Parks and Tokaido came to mind
Cons
- then we got into Catan, Cascadia, Century, PARKS, Carcassone, Dead of Winter, Cosmic Encounter, HEAT, etc.
- Losing the dynamic trail kinda makes me sad. I also liked that the trail size adjusted for the number of players, which it doesn't now. I don't like how this will play for 2 players personally. A shorter game strikes me as good. I may p...
- This game was massively elevated by its art. I would have never bought the game with this edition's art.
- I don't think it's a downgrade - it's incredibly well done. But it's certainly a style shift that many won't like. I will say that while I prefer the 1st edition cards to the 2nd, the 2nd edition cards are still beautiful. But I do fin...

For me it would be Azul (master chocolatier) Oath Parks
Losing the dynamic trail kinda makes me sad. I also liked that the trail size adjusted for the number of players, which it doesn't now. I don't like how this will play for 2 players personally. A shorter game strikes me as good. I may play this way. In fact, was I playing this wrong? Canteens seem better, more useful. Starting with one is better. Shutter bug implementation also seems a little better than the camera to me. I think there was definitely room for refinement in parks. So some balancing and adjustment seems welcome. I'm just sad that the trail doesn't change anymore. Overall, I'd love to play this, but probably not gonna pony up the cash for this as a replacement.

I don't think it's a downgrade - it's incredibly well done. But it's certainly a style shift that many won't like. I will say that while I prefer the 1st edition cards to the 2nd, the 2nd edition cards are still beautiful. But I do find the other components to have lost something but switching to a bright, "clean" aesthetic over the warmer, cozier vibe of the 1st edition.
