Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • the brand is a bit of a buzzword at the moment but most perfumes by parfums de marly are so so beast mode

Cons

  • And also has the worst pink tax in the industry — they charge nearly double for women’s perfume. Unoriginal, comically overpriced, AND sexist.
  • Parfums de Marly can shove their pink tax up their ass. I won’t try any of their perfumes until they stop trying to screw women
  • Parfums de Marley has never been my favorite fragrance house. Most of what I've smelled from them has been underwhelming.
  • Biggest disappointment is probably the entire house of Parfums de Marly. I really wanted to like their fragrances, but they just don’t perform. Don’t even get me started on that pervasive menthol accord.
  • Although they do have some original scents, a lot of their fragrances feel like clones. ... It’s just crazy to me how a house as respected as PDM copies so many other scents, lol.

Parfums de Marly. I bought a bottle of Delina la Rosee and it smelled screechy and harsh. Someone else I spoke to had the same issue and I learned that the house has overall consistency issues which is ridiculous considering their cost.

On the flip side, Parfums de Marly is plummeting. This doesn't surprise me: I went in hard on the brand early in my collecting days, and my preferences have shifted since then. I will probably be paring quite a few bottles of PdM out of my collection

My personal one is Parfums de Marly. I unfortunately don't like any of them

I’m talking 150 plus, like luis Vuitton and parfums de Marley.

Parfums de Marly, which started as a dupe house (NTTAWWT) and which charges $300+ for a bottle of Palatine, which is a dupe of the Agua de Violetas you can buy in a Latin American market for under $50.
