PARA method

Pros

• Start with a framework for organization first, I suggest PARA for management of information.
• Start with a free PARA system and get comfortable with it. I used the most minimalist one I could find. It works great. Having my entire todo list in one place, where I can break projects down into the small pieces has been a huge help.
• I do find PARA a good starting point; I changed it to PART myself Projects, Areas, Resources and Tasks.
• I personally combined Tiago Forte's PARA, with the "R" as my zettelkasten. This made up for the weak spots in each system.
• I rely on PARA and have plenty (probably too many) dataview pages.

Cons

• i started with a very folder-heavy PARA setup and just found it created a lot of friction for me.
• I found all that other stuff like PARA, ACE, Zettellasten, Cornell, and other "PKM" systems/methodology to be a bunch of theatrics and waste of time.
• Any way to make PARA not super convoluted? I found I spent way more time trying to figure out where to put what, which sort of defeated the purpose.
• I get why it exists for academic or research related efforts, but for practical use with work and stuff, I really can't stand PARA, MOCs, or any of that atomic note type stuff. None of it works for me at all.
• I’ve spent hours deleting and reorganising according to Diago Forte’s PARA Each time I think I’m getting somewhere I discover a nest of chaos
