Panasonic Lumix GH5

Pros

• I’m podcasting with a GH5 (sigma 18-35 with metabones) and I find that it’s ideal for podcasting.
• I’d say a used GH5 (found one on marketplace for $740 and it comes with three batteries and charger) and the 35-100 f/2.8 (found one used on marketplace for $450).
• but to be fair you can get similar results with a used $500 GH5
• My work has to all be in opengate, and I find myself using my GH5 much more.
• GH5 still holds its own and is an incredible value for the money. I would only go GH7 if you need open gate recording, reliable autofocus, and/or high frame rate internal 4k recording. If those things don’t matter, go GH5.

Cons

• Poor GH5 deserves better
• Holy cow. I just looked on Facebook marketplace around Melbourne and the cheapest one going is $1500. Guess I'll stick to my GH5.
• GH5. Barely usable video autofocus but makes up that lack in image quality, manual lens selection, battery life, video features and weather sealing.
• gh5’s 😂😂😂
• luckily, i have been around the block and don’t fall for cameras. now… if all my clients all of the sudden hate the way my gh5’s picture looks, say no more, i’ll have fx9 and fx3 within the week.
