I stated with an Exos and love the idea of it. The ventilated back panel is great , the features are good, but I personally found it overkill for my style.
Parent context: I’m definitely not the most experienced with planing so I probably carry a lot more food and water than I need. Thinking back on it, the Exos actually dug into my hip some which could have been a result of overloading. It wasn’t bad though and either way I’m not a fan of the suspension system. Reply: I’d feel way better if the weight was on my back rather than a few inches off of it.

Not sure where you are located, you could look at the Osprey Exos as a lighter but still framed backpack.
