My main speakers and surrounds are all from the ELAC Debut 3.0 series powered by an Onkyo RZ50.

I started with a RZ50 but found it lacking. Doing some research on the RZ50 maybe it didn't have enough power.
Don’t think I’ve ever experienced an issue like that one mine. I have pre-out fronts to Fosi v3 stereo preamp and it sounds amazing in my house now. I hardly ever have to listen above 45 for regular TV maybe 55 if TV movie and above 62 is like shaking the whole house.
I love my RZ50 I got mine back when it was first released is this a newer thing I have never heard of that issue I have an Emotiva BasX running my fronts I have never had any clipping. I’m running Sonus Fabre fronts and they sound amazing. I will say I had issues resulting in a warranty repair, it was an HDMI problem.
Get a different receiver the onkyo rz 50 pre outs only give out 1 volt or less because of not being able to turn off the internal amps and it clips you won't be able to drive your amplifier to max power
The RZ-50 actually was bench tested to outperform the x3800h Denon in all channels driven. Denon fan boys never mention that part. I owned the RZ50 for a few years and never had a problem.
There is actually an issue with the RZ30 and RZ50 amp sections, where the output gets throttled to ~30 watts into 4ohms once you load the amps moderately.
