All of my documents saved to OneDrive are showing up normally on the new PC
onedrive seemed to want to save everything including game files and my kid brought it to my attention when it wouldnt save screenshots because of like an attachment thing. i turned off onedrive and still see onedrive in addresses despite things seeming to save to the computer.

I for one experienced a lot of slowdowns related to onedrive. If onedrive is full it seems to really slow down your PC for some reason, at least it did for me.
Onedrive data is stored remotely, so assuming you're synced before you wipe your current drive to install Win11, you should be fine.
Do not click on the OneDrive option in the installer, OneDrive causes a living hell and is the most terrible thing implemented in Windows right now, it to be fair, it was godawful in Windows 10 as well.
I've got an older Buffalo NAS, and a OneDrive account. Anything on my NAS that I don't want to lose is also on my OneDrive.
I still use office 356 as macos works well with the office suite and OneDrive.
