Olight Marauder Mini 2

Pros

• As for the MM2, I want a capable flood light as an emergency light, and like the flood/spotlight combination mode. I may pick it up on your recommendation.
• If I were you, I'd probably get the MM2; I know it's the one I'd keep if I could only have one of them. USB charging alone is a big argument imo.

• Parent context: Well fuck. I have the original and love it, this looks like an upgrade in every way. Brighter flood and throw, can do both channels at the same time, USB-C charging option. I really don't need to buy another one lol

Cons

• To be fair, this doesn't necessarily make it the worse light overall. The flood no longer has a green tint. I also like that it's floodier, if I need throw I'll use the throw channel (or both!). Speaking of, the throw beam on my Mini 1 h...
• So, if you don't need green/blue light or 2,500 sustained lumens, arguably the Mini 2 is still better. But it's probably not a sensible upgrade if you already have the Mini 1; and it at least feels like the drop in sustained output is ju...
• But I'm cutting all of those points short like this because they're overshadowed by one major letdown: Apparently the driver or the LEDs are less efficient in the updated light?
• after a few minutes, the Mini 2 got significantly hotter than the Mini 1 and dropped to L3-2, locking L4 for a couple of minutes.
• if you use your light for more than 2 minutes and less than 30 minutes at a time, the old Mini 1 is actually brighter!
