- I guess it could be ok, but for apps that actually need updates faster than f-droid lets you (it's a bit slow) there are custom f-droid repos. For the most part, Android is not a platform where you get exciting new features with updates....

I use the regular version of obtainium, but to add apps you usually need the app's URL, for example on GitHub, or its name (although I haven't used this method). If you don't know what you need and just want to see what apps are available, this probably won't work.
