Obsidian Web Clipper

Pros

• Obsidian web clipper (made by Obsidian dev, but a separate app) makes clipping any webpage, including YouTube videos with timestamps and transcript if desired, super easy.
• for Android you can download the obsidian web clipper Firefox extension xpi file... It works great for me.
• Obsidian Web Clipper. I canceled my subscription to the read it later app I was using and now I read on Obsidian.
• The new base feature is absolutely amazing, and the integration with the Web Clipper makes it even better! I highly recommend checking it out
• I used Obsidian Web Clipper to make pages for YouTube video pages.

Cons

• Obsidian web clipper on Firefox works on mobile. It's fussy but it gets the job done
• on iOS, I found that obsidian web clipper only exists as a safari extension, which makes it really only accessible for links actively open in safari... compared to web clipper needing like 5 additional steps to save a rich link on mobile.
• Currently, it’s quite inconvenient to use quick capture in the mobile app and the Obsidian Web Clipper. The latter always opens Obsidian instead of simply adding the desired content when you’re in a browser.
• Previously each time you switched tabs it would reset the popup contents. This is desirable if you're just clipping pages, but not ideal if you want to take notes in multiple tabs or run multiple [interpreter](https://help.obsidian.md/we...
• I think I gave up on using Clipper any other way than its stock functionality because I had some issues with it — couldn’t configure the AI, couldn’t change something etc., so I just gave up :D
