Here in Germany theyre not doing well. The downside of using the battery swap is that you need to rent the battery. Straight buying it means youre not allowed to use the swapping feature. And the business model of renting the battery pack rather than owning it, is not one that German and probably European customers like.
They seem even simpler than the battery swap for cars like NIO implemented where you got to unscrew the undercarriage.
