Nikon D700

Pros

• I'd personally do the D700 of these two just so I could start my lens collection working with them at their intended FoV, and then upgrade the body at a later date.
• I have a Nikon D60 and a Nikon D700, both old but great. A D60 with a kit lens will cost hardly anything, I recently bought the D700 for 300 euro.

• The D700 is a good camera, you can get excellent image quality from it, and it won't hold you back.

Cons

• Making big prints is the D700’s only weakness for me. Everything else that matters in terms of color fidelity, dynamic range, ergonomics, viewfinder experience, etc. has generally been the same or better on the full frame camera.
• Parent context: I know. In the meantime I bought it :-D Gonna pair it with a 50mm F1.8D for another €50. Nikon has Picture Controls too which allow sort of 'film simulations'. I used to own a D700, but I found it too heavy and I hate the...
• The D700 didn't even have video capability...
• I bought a d700 couple years back . It's a dinosaur with a lot of rose tinted former owners. It doesn't do video.
• *Cons*: Weight. I'm not kidding when I say this, this IS a HEAVY camera, and you will have to get used to it because of that. Repairs. if it gets busted, you are more or less on your own.
