Nikon D3100

Pros

• For the price with selling the D3100 is is quite a bargain. The D3100 is worth ~€80, so €140 for the D3200, 18-55 and 55-300? That is seriously cheap.
• You should be able to get a Nikon D3100 with the kit lens (18-55mm) for less than £150 on MPB.
• Something like a Nikon D3100 with an 18-200mm kit lens might fit the bill? You should just about to be able to get both in budget, and while 200mm isn't ideal for wildlife, it's probably good enough for a start for a 10 year old.
• You could get a Nikon d3100 with the kit lens for that price and it will be far superior to that.
• Nikon D3100 that I got used for one hundo. It's a good first camera, but I want to spend money to do a big upgrade especially as I'm hitting the limitations

Cons

• Parent context: At your budget the only option with a viewfinder is an old DSLR. E.g. a Nikon D3100 or a Canon equivalent. Reply: Nikon 3100 is a bit too big for myself. I really want a compact camera.
• I own a Nikon D3100 but it's too big to travel with every time.
• If I switch from a D3100 to a D5200, how noticeable would the upgrade be?
• Get a d3200 rather than d3100 - noticeably better sensor
• Did have Nikon D3100 but too big so sold it.
