Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream

Pros
- i use the neutrogena hydro boost gel cream
- I just kept up the twice a day routine and it has settled down significantly. It feels like most of what I'm experiencing now is in a normal range of a skin care routine.
- Current routine LRP Toleraine Caring Wash and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream every morning and night. These seem to work really well for me.
- switched to neutrogena hydro boost gel cream and bumps cleared way faster since it actually hydrates without greasiness.
Cons
- This time I put on Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream over my whole face and neck and Cerave balm around my eyes, eyelids, and the crease of my neck when I got out of the shower. I waited a good hour after this to apply a pea-sized amount...
- The gel cream is too thick for me (it's aimed at dry skin, the water gel is for oily/normal) and I don't notice a smell from the water gel unless I stick my nose in it.
- Moisturizers (possibly overlapping/redundant due to buying multiple products and being gifted one of them): A) Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream!
- I'm in my first week of twice a day using CeraVe foaming cleanser, and the Neutrogena Hydro boost gel cream. I do it before bed and then when I wake up. What I'm not sure about is what the texture of my skin is supposed to look and feel...
- For a while I was doing the Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream, but realized that this is just meant to moisturize my skin, and I'm worried that isn't exactly meant to prevent wrinkles.

This time I put on Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream over my whole face and neck and Cerave balm around my eyes, eyelids, and the crease of my neck when I got out of the shower. I waited a good hour after this to apply a pea-sized amount of adapalene. I didn’t apply it anywhere near my neck or eyes—just cheeks, forehead, and chin. I did this twice a week for 2 weeks. It took a bit longer to happen, but I had the same problem as before and it seemed to get worse each time. Angry itchy ring around my neck, scaly crusty eyelids and painfully dry eyes.
The gel cream is too thick for me (it's aimed at dry skin, the water gel is for oily/normal) and I don't notice a smell from the water gel unless I stick my nose in it.

I'm in my first week of twice a day using CeraVe foaming cleanser, and the Neutrogena Hydro boost gel cream. I do it before bed and then when I wake up. What I'm not sure about is what the texture of my skin is supposed to look and feel like. It's pretty shiny, I do notice my nose and chin which are my high oil spots over producing a little at the shock of the routine, but from what I understand that will even out as it gets used to the skin care. But my skin also feels generally tacky. Even after I wash it, there's tackiness, and I'm not sure if this is normal?
