Pros
- Nanoleaf/Govee/Lifx all have versions of this and you can add them to multiple ecosystems depending on what you want to do
- nanoleaf has downloadable effect including flames etc too.
- Try Nanoleaf. Works great with its app or the Google Home app/speaker and doesn’t need a hub.
- Go with HomeKit bulbs from brands like Nanoleaf or Hue. They’ll connect directly to your Apple ecosystem and let you group all three so you can turn them off together or control them individually.
- I have 1 - works great.
Cons
- I've found 30m led strips on amazon for 20$ (0.66$ per meter) compared to nanoleaf's 10m for 100$ (10$ per meter)
- Everyone should read through the nanoleaf subreddit before buying. So many product and customer service complaints. I had problems with almost everything I bought from them.
- I'm specifically looking at therabody and nanoleaf. Nanoleaf says they're FDA cleared?
- On the flipside nanoleaf uses matter over thread and is complete garbage.
- all other brands are shitposted (Nanoleaf, Linkin, Wiz, ...).

I'm trying to do this but I'm really struggling to find a list of thread enabled devices that are current and that aren't nanoleaf
